Guysborough County occurs as county in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia.
Ingesting its title from either a Town of Guysborough, which was known as within honour of Sir Guy Carleton, Guysborough County was created when Sydney County (Antigonish County) was divided in 1836.
Around 1840, a Town of St. Mary's, around Guysborough County, was placed slay as a separate & distinct Territory. Around 1863 a dividing line between Halifax and Guysborough Counties was altered and the polling territorial dominion was added to Guysborough County.
